National Identity Card and Passport

Since 2017, identity cards and passports are no longer issued at the Mairie de Gras. Applications must only be made at Town Halls equipped with the appropriate equipment. The nearest Town Halls to Gras with the appropriate equipment are :

- Bourg Saint Andéol Town Hall (Telephone: 04.75.54.72.73)

- Pierrelatte Town Hall (Tel.: 04 75 96 97 00)

- Le Teil Town Hall (Tel.: 04 75 49 63 20)

Please note that you will need to make an appointment. To find out what documents you need to provide, please contact the relevant Mairie.

Service Carte Grise

Gras Town Hall no longer provides services relating to vehicle registration certificates. From now on, all requests for :

- Duplicate

- Change of address

- Change of holder

- Declaration of vehicle transfer

... can be done online

Military census (or citizens' census)

All young French people (boys and girls) who turn 16 must register. If you were born in France, you must register between your 16th birthday and the last day of the 3rd month following your birthday.

If you became French between the ages of 16 and 25, you must register within one month of acquiring French nationality.

(If you have missed the deadline, you can regularise your situation up to the age of 25. The procedure remains the same)

To do this, please go to the Mairie (the person concerned or one of their parents) with :

- Up-to-date family record book

- The child's valid National Identity Card or Passport

- Proof of address less than 3 months old

The Mairie will issue you with a census certificate. Please keep it in a safe place, as no duplicates will be issued.

Electoral roll registration

To be able to vote, you must be registered on the electoral roll. Registration is automatic for 18-year-olds (subject to certain conditions), and for anyone who has obtained French nationality after 2018.

Apart from these situations, you must apply to be included on the electoral roll in order to vote.

Who can vote?

All the following conditions must be met:

- Be at least 18 years old on the day before election day

- Being French

- Enjoy civil and political rights

Reminder:

- French citizens who reach the age of 18 are automatically entered on the electoral roll if they have completed the census formalities at the age of 16. If they turn 18 between the 2 rounds of an election, they can only vote in the 2nd round.

- Anyone who becomes French after 2018 is automatically registered on the electoral roll,

- European citizens living in France can register on the supplementary electoral roll at their local town hall to vote in municipal and European elections.

- Anyone placed under guardianship before 23 March 2019 and deprived of their right to vote must apply to register on the electoral roll.

Where do you register if you live in France?

You can register here:

- or at your local town hall,

- or at the town hall of a commune in which you have been liable for local taxes (council tax, business property tax, property tax on built-up or non-built-up properties) for at least 2 years,

- or at your local town hall if you have lived there effectively and continuously for at least 6 months,

- or at the town hall of the commune where you are subject to compulsory residence as a civil servant,

- or at the town hall of the commune where the company, of which you have been the manager or majority or sole shareholder for at least 2 years, has been entered on the municipal tax roll for at least 2 years.

When should you register?

You can register all year round. However, to be able to vote in an election year, you must do so before a certain deadline:

- no later than the 6th Friday before the 1st ballot

- but in certain situations, this period is extended to the 10th day before the 1st round of voting

How do I register?

You must use the online electoral roll application service and attach scanned versions of the following documents:

- Proof of address

- Proof of identity

At the Town Hall:

You must provide the following documents:

- Proof of identity

- Proof of address

- Cerfa no. 12669 application form (available from the Mairie)

You can ask someone else to do this for you. To do this, you must provide them with :

- a written and signed document attesting to the fact that you are entrusting him with this authority

- your proof of identity

- your proof of address

- the cerfa n°12669*02 application form (also available from the Mairie).
